Rue Nell Anderson

Rue Nell Anderson, 94 of Tipton passed away at 7:00 a.m. on Monday, December 5, 2022 at The Waters in Tipton. She was born on January 11, 1928 in Gamaliel, Kentucky to Bertie & Gertrude (Hale) Copas. On July 17, 1946 she married Tommie Anderson. The couple enjoyed just shy 37 years of marriage together before his death on May 16, 1983.

She was a member of Tipton Church of Christ. Rue Nell was an excellent seamstress and made many wonderful articles of clothing over the years for family and friends.

She is survived by two children Diana Nowling of Dallas, Georgia, Wayne Anderson and wife Kathy of Tipton; ten grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren. She has several nieces and nephews. Rue Nell was preceded in death by a son, Larry Anderson; six brothers and two sisters; along with a son-in-law, Rick Nowling.

Funeral services will be held on Friday December 9, 2022 at 2:00P.M. at Young-Nichols Funeral Home with Minister John Ankrom presiding. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday from Noon until 2:00P.M. at the funeral home.
