Daniel E. Powell

Daniel E. Powell, 59 of Tipton died at 2:45 a.m. on Friday, July 26, 2013 at his residence. He was born June 20, 1954 in Elwood to Francis E. & Betty J. (Crail) Powell. On April 20, 1974 he married Susan J. Walker and she survives.

He worked at Co-Alliance in Tipton for over 40 years. Dan enjoyed farming and collecting old tractors and Co-op memorabilia. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church and was a 1972 graduate of Tipton High School.

Survivors besides his wife Susan include two daughters, Kimberly Nunemacher and husband Malachy and Kristen Noble and husband Jason; brothers Steven Powell and wife Karen, William Powell and wife Carol, David Powell and Kevin Powell; sister-in-law Lynn Dunn and husband Walt, all of Tipton; two granddaughters, Macy & Kinsey Nunemacher; several nieces and nephews.

A funeral mass for Dan will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 29 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church with Rev. Christopher Shocklee presiding. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery, Tipton. Visitation will be from 2:00 – 7:00 p.m. Sunday at Young-Nichols Funeral Home.
