Danny Davis

Danny Kaye Davis, 66 of Tipton entered this world on October 3, 1959 in Tipton. His parents were Jessie N. & Lula M. (Gipson) Davis. He married Susan Kay Hufford on September 10, 1983 and after 43 years of marriage; he passed away on Monday, August 3, 2026 at home.

He was a graduate of Tipton High School in the Class of 1977. He is probably most remembered for his athletic ability and for making it to the State Finals in Wrestling. After high school he went on to serve his country in the United States Marine Corps. Danny was self-employed in the concrete business as the owner of Indiana Concrete Specialties, Inc.

When he found free time he enjoyed fishing and spending time with his grandchildren, Riggs, Dottie and Posie. He was so proud of them. His family was very special to him. Danny also enjoyed traveling.

Survivors besides his wife Susan include his two children, Sarah Davis and Daniel Davis, both of Tipton; his four siblings, Jackie Cardin and husband Brent, Tipton, Linda Davenport and husband Jeff, Indianapolis, Joyce Smith and husband Richie, Tipton and Jerry Davis and wife Annette, Tipton. Danny has three grandchildren, Riggs, Dottie and Posie Davis. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Larry.

Funeral services are planned for 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 8 at Young-Nichols Funeral Home with Scott Friend as the Celebrant. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery with military honors by the United States Marine Corps and the Tipton American Legion. Visitation will also be on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
