Gene R. “Gino” Libertore

Gene R. "Gino" Libertore, 80 of Tipton died on Sunday, February 8, 2015 at his residence. He was born June 18, 1934 in Chicago, Illinois to Donald & Anita Libertore. On May 18, 1970 he married JoAnne Basey and she preceded him in death on February 28, 2013. Gino worked for the Operating Engineers Union as a heavy equipment operator, retiring in 1999.

He is survived by two sons, Donald R. Libertore, Shelbyville and Anthony G. Libertore, Marengo; one step-son, Jon DeBaun; one step-daughter, Jennifer Kelly Adams; five grandchildren, Kaci Lynn Libertore, Logan and Griffin DeBaun, Nathan and Rebekah Adams. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Patricia A. Delaney.

No funeral services are planned. Arrangements were handled by Young-Nichols Funeral Home. Memorial contributions in Gene's honor may be made to the American Cancer Society, 5635 W. 96th Street, Suite 100, Indianapolis, Indiana, 46278.
