Henrietta Reed

Henrietta ReedHenrietta Reed, 80 of Taylorville, Illinois, and formerly of Tipton County passed away on Tuesday, March 8, 2016 in Phoenix, Arizona.  She was born February 10, 1936 in Whitley City, Kentucky to Fred and Maude (Cox) King. She married Elvin “Buck” Reed on May 20, 1972 whom preceded her in death on March 17, 1981.Henrietta is survived by her children, Cindy (Dick) Wooldridge, David Freeman, Roger (Josie) Freeman,  all of Phoenix, Connie Freeman of Taylorville, Illinois and Stephanie (Jim) Hansen of Houston, Texas. She is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren along with numerous nieces, nephews and friends.She was preceded in death by her husband, son Lotis Freeman, parents and siblings.A funeral service for Henrietta will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 12 at Young-Nichols Funeral Home, Tipton, with Rev. Jim Stevenson presiding.  Burial will follow in Sharpsville Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial donations in Henrietta’s honor be made to the Alzheimers Association, 50 East 91st Street, Suite 100, Indianapolis, Indiana, 46240.
