James D. Ashbaugh

James D. Ashbaugh, 71 of Tipton died peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, February 21, 2024. He was born in St. Louis on September 6, 1952 and made that his residence until 1992 when he moved to the Tipton area. His parents were Millard and Betty (Borders) Ashbaugh. James married Debbie Tabacchi on December 9, 1972 and she survives.

James worked on the production line at Chrysler Corporation in Kokomo until retiring in 2007.

Survivors include his wife Debbie, daughter Sarah Maurer (Jason Straber) of Westfield and a son James M. Ashbaugh (Mary Sutton) of Indianapolis. He is also survived by two siblings, Wally (Donna) Ashbaugh of Washington, Missouri and Louise (Jim) Watts of O’Fallon, Missouri.

A memorial service will take place at a later date to be determined.
