Joan B. ArnettJoan B. Arnett, 76, Elwood, died at 12:19 a.m. Sunday, August 13, 2006 at Tipton Hospital. She was born August 13, 1930 in Tipton to Lawrence Joseph & Hazel Irene (Parnell) Bath.Joan was a member of the Emanuel Lutheran Church in Tipton and worked at Pioneer Hi-Bred, retiring in 1986.   She enjoyed retirement while camping in the summer and wintering in Holiday, Florida, where she taught line dancing.Joan is survived by her companion, Bill Durham; three children, Cynthia Brown, Sarasota, Florida, John Duncan and wife Pam, Indianapolis, and Charlotte Watson and husband Don, Tipton; one brother, Lawrence Bath, Jr. and wife Doris, Tipton; five grandchildren, Amber Denham, Jessica Hamrick, Ryan Brown, Katrina Roberts and Tabitha Watson; 10 great-grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her two husbands, Cecil Duncan and Junior Arnett, three sisters and two brothers.Her funeral will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 16 at the Emanuel Lutheran Church in Tipton with Rev. Kurt Gremel presiding.  Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Tipton.  Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Young-Nichols Funeral Home and from 9:00-10:00 a.m. Wednesday at the church.Memorial contributions may be made to Lutheran Child and Family Services.
