Joe Peters

Joe Peters, 58 of Tipton died at 12:38 p.m. Friday, March 2, 2012 at his residence. He was born June 12, 1953 in Tipton to Bobbie C. & Rebecca J. (Eudaly) Peters. On July 21, 1990 he married Brenda Roark and she survives.

He retired as the co-owner and president of Peters Industrial Equipment in Indianapolis. Joe was a 1972 graduate of Tri-Central High School. He belonged to the Kokomo Blue Angels remote-control airplane club and enjoyed fishing and tending his garden.

Survivors besides his wife Brenda include his mother, Becky Peters of Tipton; one son, Daniel Peters, Tipton; two sisters and one brother, Susan Browning and husband George, Sweetser, Chris Peters and wife Darline, Atlanta and Kay Davis and husband Denny, Atlanta; two grandchildren. Joe was preceded in death by his father, two brothers, Greg Peters and David Peters and one son, Casey Joe Peters.

His funeral will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at Young-Nichols Funeral Home with Rev. Harold Barnett presiding. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
