Kathlyn E. “Katie” Stockwell

Kathlyn E. “Katie” (McAuley) Stockwell, 98 of Tipton died at 1:05 p.m. on Wednesday, June 19, 2013 at Miller’s Merry Manor, Tipton. She was born September 27, 1914 in Freedom, Indiana to Charles & Margaret Mae (White) McAuley. She married Max H. Stockwell in 1934 and he preceded her in death.

Katie was a member of the West Street Christian Church and the Order of Eastern Star. She was a graduate of Freedom High School and the Indiana Beauty College in Indianapolis.

Survivors include one son, Robert Stockwell, Tennessee; seven grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Deanna Cerroni, five sisters, four brothers and one grandchild.

Services for Katie will be held at Fairview Cemetery, Tipton, at a later date. Young-Nichols Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
