Marilyn B. Nash

Marilyn B. Nash entered into this world on May 8, 1939 in Tipton County to Dale E. & Mary M. (Wheatley) Burget. She was 86 years old when she passed away on Friday, July 25, 2025 at Autumnwood Village in Tipton. Marilyn married Danny B. Nash on December 1, 1999 and he preceded her in death on July 26, 2016. She was a beautician and had worked at Ramsey’s and TDS Telecom, both in Tipton, retiring in 2006.

Marilyn graduated from Prairie Township High School in the Class of 1957. She was a member of Normanda Christian Church where she played the organ. In fact Marilyn shared her musical talent with several churches and played for many funerals throughout her lifetime.

Survivors include her daughter Shari Atchley Smith, son Douglas E. Atchley and wife Sue Howard Atchley as well as two step-daughters, Lisa N. Miller and husband Rick of Peru and Melissa Solomon and husband Steve of Dayton, Ohio.

Marilyn is also survived by five grandchildren, Abbie Smith, Madison DePew and husband Josh, Walker Mehl, Erika Heaton and Kaleigh Atchley; five step-grandchildren, Colton, Cody and Caitlyn Miller and Kellen and Kacy Solomon; seven great-grandchildren, Matilda and Jack Stout, Raylee and Asher DePew, Gracie, Lillie and Wilson Heaton.

Marilyn was the last of her generation as her four siblings, Gerald E. Burget, Don Burget, Marianna Gray and Madonna Burget Spratt all predeceased her.

It was Marilyn’s desire to not have any public services. She will be buried next to Danny in Normanda Cemetery. Young-Nichols Funeral Home is honored to help with her arrangements. Condolences for Marilyn’s family may be left on her obituary page at www.young-nichols.com.
