Martha (Stroup) Wilson

Martha WilsonMartha (Stroup) Wilson, 78, Kokomo, and formerly of Tipton, died at 4:42 p.m. Tuesday, July 20, 2010 at I.U. Medical Center, Indianapolis.  She was born December 6, 1931 in Tipton to George and Naomi (Batzner) Stroup.Martha began nurses training at I.U. Medical Center, the same hospital where she died, after graduating from Tipton High School in 1949.  Her working career included nursing, various business offices, and retail at Sears.After retirement Martha enjoyed her favorite TV Sports - Cubs, Colts, Pacers, and of course, I.U. Basketball and football.  She took great pride in family, remembering everyone at Christmas, birthdays, and specials occasions.Martha is survived by two brothers, Robert Stroup and wife Julia Anne, Noblesville and Frederick and wife Beverly of Tupelo, MS; nephews Jonathan Stroup and wife Leslie and their children, Meredith, and Adam, Greenbrook, GA, Michael Stroup and wife Judy and sons Nicholas and Robert, Belden, MS.No public services are planned.  Young-Nichols Funeral Home, Tipton, is in charge of the arrangements.
