Mary Ann Johnson, 92 of Medaryville passed away at 3:53 p.m., Saturday, July 18, 2026 at I.U. Arnett Hospital in Lafayette.
Born on October 31, 1933, in Medaryville, she was the daughter of the late James and Mabel (Steele) Nicolas.
She retired from Kaiser Aluminum in 1997. Mary Ann was a member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church, St. Henry’s Altar Rosary Society, Medaryville Lions Club and the Gingham Pals Home Ec Club.
She enjoyed playing cards and games with family and friends. She spent several years making ceramics in her home shop. Mary Ann kept her hands busy by crocheting several blankets and scarves to give to her loved ones.
Survivors include her husband of 60 years this October, Larry Johnson of Medaryville, her children, Randy Holliday (Patti) of Winamac, Ron Holliday (friend Jolynn) of New Port Richey, Florida, Carla Good of Tipton, Tom Holliday (Julie) of Medaryville, Tony Holliday (Melanie) of Francesville, Mark Holliday (Tammy) of Rensselaer and daughter-in-law, Lisa Holliday of Lacrosse.
Her grandchildren, Mara Leman (Randy), Chad Holliday (Michelle), Shannon Smith (Jeff), Amy Frank (Chris), Josh Koch (Alaina), Jake Koch (Tigre), Bobbi Reinhold (Stan), Angie Taberski (Matt), Stephanie Bushman (Brian), Tenille Rainford (Sean), Carmin Ruff (Keith), Travis Holliday, Andrea Powell (Brad) Allison Ripberger (Toby), Jenelle Owens (Scott), Kyndra Wireman (Tyler), Chase Holliday (Cinthia), Chance Holliday, Brooke Bennett (Jim), Celia Lovely (Matt), Sawyer Holliday, Spencer Holliday, Hunter Holliday (Courtney), Jordan Daniels and Houston Langley (Adam) also survive.
Surviving great- grandchildren are Sydney Leman, Darrin Leman, Marin Plattner (Tyler), Sarah Leman, Brienna Holliday, Alec Smith, Payton Smith, Quinn Smith, Cole Frank, Alyse Frank, Mason Koch, Reid Koch, Kinley Koch, Elliott Roberts, Laila Koch, Cole Reinhold (Emily), Lyndi Wagers (Joshua), Parker Fox (Michaela), Brennan Bushman, Alivia Bushman,Tyler Rainford, Samantha Rausch (Nick), McKenzie Kopka, Cooper Kopka, Easton Holliday, Tinley Holliday, Sydney Powell, Shane Powell, Seth Powell, Sophia Ripberger, Kennedy Ripberger, Brynlee Owens, Aspyn Owens, Lakyn Owens, Rhaylea Holliday, Jagger Skalon, Zayden Wireman, Bearett Wireman, Leonidas Holliday, Solomon Holliday, Riley Bennett, Ethan Bennett, Dylan Bennett, Emily Bennett, Paxton Lovely, Kyser Lovely, Freya Lovely, Asa Lovely, Everett Roe, Bronx Daniels, Rocco Daniels, and Leighton Langley.
Great-Great grandchildren, Julianna Wagers, Roman Fox, Rayli Fox, and Caroline Rausch survive.
She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Carl Holliday; Son, Rick Holliday; Son-in-Law, Bob Good; Great-Granddaughter, Haley Fox; sister, Helen Hackney and brothers, Jimmy Nicolas and Bernie Nicolas.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m., Friday, July 24, 2026 at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Winamac.
Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Thursday, July 23, 2026 at Rans Funeral Homes & Crematory, Winamac Chapel.
Graveside services will be at 3:00 p.m., Friday, July 24, 2026 at St. Henry Cemetery in Medaryville.
In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society and/or The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
