Peggy Evon Blessing, 85 of Windfall died Saturday, January 6, 2024 at Autumnwood Village assisted living in Tipton. She was surrounded by her loving family. Peggy was born in Tipton County on July 4, 1938 to Ralph L. and Leota A. (Pufahl) Blessing.
Peggy was a sales representative for Stellite Haynes International for over 30 years before retiring in 1986. Her life was well rooted in the Windfall community. She was a graduate of Windfall High School. She belonged to the Windfall Church of the Brethren until it closed and then she continued her worship as a member of the Windfall United Methodist Church. She was well known for her pink Amish cookies that everyone loved. Often Peggy could be found enjoying a baseball game on the television or watching the weekly golf match. Peggy was also skilled with her hands as she made several quilted and crocheted items.
She is survived by her sister, Judy K. Hussey and husband John of Windfall, brother-in-law Richard Davis of Windfall and a sister-in-law Jeannie Blessing of Union, Ohio. Peggy also has several nieces and nephews as well as great nieces and great nephews.
Peggy was preceded in death by her sister, Beverly A. Davis and a brother, John D. Blessing.
Funeral services will be on Thursday, January 11 at 2:00 P.M. at Young-Nichols Funeral Home. Rev. David Stout will preside. Burial will follow at Brookside Cemetery in Windfall. Visitation will be on Thursday from 1:00 P.M. until service time.
Memorial donations may be made to the charity of one’s choosing.
