Petra L. Limon

Petra L. LimonPetra L. Limon, 83, Tipton died at 3:00 a.m. Sunday, November 7, 2010 at Miller's Merry Manor in Tipton.  She was born January 31, 1927 in Matehuala, San Luis Potosi, Mexico to Ines & Amada (Quesada) Lucio.  She married Marcus Limon on June 28, 1958 and he preceded her in death on July 5, 1997.She had worked as a canner for Stokely-Van Camp and later Red Gold.  She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Tipton.Petra is survived by two daughters, Julia Limon, Pontiac, Michigan and Graciela Limon, Marion; six grandchildren Celia Limon-Harper and husband Chris, Eliza Limon, Olivia Silva, Angelica Silva, Alexandra Rosales and Isabel Rosales; seven great-grandchildren Jared Harper, Jakob Harper, Ethan King, Emma King, Eli Hernandez, Araceli Anderson and Oralaia Silva.She was preceded in death by one son-in-law Francisco Limon, two brothers, Andres Oliva and Gregorio Lucio and one great-grandson Eric Silva.Petra's funeral services will be Wednesday, November 10 starting with a "Gathering in the Presence of the Body" service at 9:00 a.m. at Young-Nichols Funeral Home followed by visitation until 10:45 a.m.  Her funeral will be at 11:00 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church with Rev. Leroy Kinnaman presiding.  Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery.
