Robert Tim Buckley

Robert Tim Buckley, aged 80, peacefully passed away on Monday, October 26, 2026, at his residence in Sharpsville, surrounded by his family. Born on October 13, 1946, in Kokomo, he was the son of George Edward and Della Mae (Fennell) Buckley. Tim was a devoted husband to Linda L. Neal, whom he married on November 16, 1968. She survives him.

A 1964 graduate of Sharpsville Prairie School, Tim spent over three decades at Delco Electronics in machine repair before retiring in 1999. He continued his career at Sunset Memory Gardens Cemetery and concluded with Matchette Repair in Sharpsville. Tim served his nation with the Indiana National Guard.

Tim was active in his community, attending Kokomo Church of the Brethren and was a 50 year member of Sharpsville Volunteer Fire Department and Ambulance service. He was a member of the NRA, Quarter Milers Club, and Izaak Walton League. Tim also was active in coaching girls softball, and he also helped coach boys baseball. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and cherishing moments with his family.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Linda Buckley of Sharpsville; his children, Melinda Yentes of Sharpsville, Robert M. Buckley and wife Kimberly of Taylorsville, Kentucky; siblings, Patty Buscher of Jeffersonville, Terry Buckley and wife Margie of Sharpsville; grandchildren, Jacob R, Hobson, Gabe M. Yentes, Robert Luke Buckley, and David Christopher Buckley; and a sister-in-law, Linda Buckley. He was preceded in death by his brother, Randy Buckley and a brother-in-law, Phil Buscher.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 30 at 11:00 a.m. at Young-Nichols Funeral Home with Pastor Heather Holman presiding.  Burial will follow at Nevada Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
