Roger Stewart

September 7, 1950 — October 7, 2023

Roger Lee Stewart, born to Benjamin and Lola (Sharber) Stewart on September 7, 1950, died on Saturday, October 7, 2023 at The Waters of Tipton. He was born in the family home in Cass County and held that as a point of pride. He was a dedicated employee, a faithful parishioner, and a man of many passions. He married Ann Seward and the couple would share many years of happiness until Ann’s passing on July 10, 1999.

Roger spent many happy years at Zinn’s Kitchen in Flora, where his dedication and hard work left a lasting impact. He was a member of the Ash Street Church, where he found solace and community.

Beyond his work and faith, Roger was a talented woodworker, a passionate fisherman, and a devoted fan of classic cars. He had a special fondness for the simple pleasures in life, including his love for McDonald’s. His loyal dog held a special place in his heart, and their companionship brought him immense joy.

Roger was born one of twelve children and his family has always been of utmost importance. He is survived by his two children, daughter Michelle Endress and her spouse Kevin of Tipton, Indiana, and son Michael and Chad Thomas, also of Tipton. He was also blessed with one granddaughter, Jocelyn.

The family is planning a memorial service at a later date and has asked that memorial contributions be made to the Tipton High School Fishing Team in honor of Roger. Young-Nichols is honored to be assisting the family at their hour of need.
