Ronald Walter Majors, 85, of Atlanta, Indiana, passed away on May 6, 2025, after a long-fought battle with Alzheimers and COPD. He was born on August 7, 1939, to Kenneth and Alethea Majors. On February 20, 1960, he married Margie Kay (Langley) Majors who survives. They celebrated 65 years of marriage and nearly 70 years together this past February.

In his young years, Ron served a short time in the United States Air Force. He made a career at the Kokomo Chrysler Casting Plant, retiring in 2001 after 39 1/2 years of service. Ron enjoyed golf, card games, playing pool, traveling, and antiquing prior to his illness. He was a member and former deacon of the Arcadia Christian Church.

In addition to his wife, Ron is survived by three children: Jean (Tom) Kleyla, Tipton; Rhonda (Mike) Randall, Parker City; and Tony (Jenna) Majors, Cicero. He leaves behind seven grandchildren: Rebecca (Chris) Pearson; Aaron (Chelsea) Kleyla; Hope Randall; Michael Randall, Jr; Jordan (Savannah) Kleyla; Skyler (Shannon) Majors; and Kayla (Darren) Schaefer. He also has seven great-grandchildren: Logan Pearson; Nya Brogoitti-Randall; Emerson and Avery Kleyla; Callum Schaefer; and two on the way (Caden Schaefer and Liam Majors).

In addition to his parents and parents-in-law, he was predeceased by his sister, Patricia Day, and two brothers, Steve and Kenneth Majors, and their spouses.

Per Ron’s wishes, funeral services will be private with burial in Fairview Cemetery, Tipton officiated by Pastor Jody Brown. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in his honor to Indiana Special Olympics, 6200 Technology Center Drive, Suite 105, Indianapolis, Indiana, 46278; St Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee, 38105 or Suburban North Club of Noblesville, 16065 Prosperity Dr, Noblesville, Indiana, 46060.
