Steven Rand Osbon

Steven Rand Osbon, 76 of Tipton passed away on Friday, April 17, 2026 at IU Health – Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born in Tipton on March 5, 1950 to Charles & Beverly (Parnell) Osbon. Steve married Joyce Graber on June 13, 1970 and she died one day short of their 55th anniversary on June 12, 2025.

Steve worked construction for the Shiel Sexton Company, retiring in 2022. Steve was a huge fan of the Pacers, Colts, Indiana University and NASCAR. He especially loved the Chicago Cubs. But most of all, Steve loved time spent with family, especially at the family cottage at Beaver Dam.

Steve is survived by his two children, Tony Osbon (wife Julie) and Dawn Osbon, all of Tipton; six grandchildren, Clayton (Kelsey) Lowe, Taylor Osbon, Austin (Kaylie) Barr, Blaine White, Makayla Osbon and Cayden Osbon as well as three great-grandchildren, Paisleigh Bell, Cooper Lynn and Avery Barr; many nieces, nephews and cousins and one brother-in-law, Jerry Graber and wife Diana, Kokomo and one sister-in-law, Jeannie Moore and husband Moe of Kokomo.

A memorial service for Steve will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 17 at Young-Nichols Funeral Home with visitation from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the service. Online condolences for Steve’s family may be left on his obituary page at www.young-nichols.com.
