T. Michael Morris, 49 of Kokomo died on Monday, November 3, 2014 in Kokomo as the result of an auto accident. He was born November 22, 1964 in Columbus, Ohio to Thomas Dixie & Rose Anne (Tippy) Morris.
Mike was a cook at the Windmill Grill in Kokomo for the past 12 years. He was a graduate of Haworth High School. Mike was a huge sports fan, especially the Colts, Pacers, and the Washington Redskins. He enjoyed the outdoors, shooting hoops, and racing go-carts. Mike liked watching comedies and following political news. He was a real patriot and had served in the United States Navy.
He is survived by five children, Zachary Haworth, Kokomo, Kerry Haworth, Kokomo, Brittany Haworth, Kokomo, Shane Clingenpeel and wife Jamie, Rochester, Minnesota, Brandon Morris, Burlington; step-mother, Bernie Morris, Kokomo; a sister, Teresa "Teri" Nichols and husband Bob, Tipton; three nephews, Aaron Nichols, Tipton, Tom Nichols and wife Robin, Colorado Springs, Colorado, David Nichols, Tipton; a grandson, Kyron Haworth, and a great niece, Emma Nichols.
He is also survived by Step-sisters Cecilia Dillman and husband Steve, Sharpsville, Michelle LaCluyse and husband DJ, Kokomo; one step-brother, Ted Goodman and wife Lawona, Farmland; step-nieces and nephews, Olivia LaCluyse, Elizabeth Dillman, Dakota Goodman and Sierra Goodman.
A funeral Mass will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, November 6 at Young-Nichols Funeral Home with Father Christopher Shocklee presiding. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery, Tipton. Visitation will be on Thursday from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. with a Rosary service at 12:00 noon.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Mike's honor to the Jackson Street Commons, 618 S. Main Street, Kokomo, Indiana 46901.
Mike's family would like to thank Tom Trine and Mike's "family" of co-workers at the Windmill Grill for their positive influence in his life.
