Theresa E. “Terry” Stout

Theresa E. “Terry” Stout, 80 of Tipton died at 6:20 a.m. on Monday, June 17, 2019 at Miller’s Merry Manor in Tipton. She was born in Green Bay, Wisconsin on February 9, 1939 to Benedict & Jane Wozniak. She married Robert Arnold Stout on September 12, 1958 and he preceded her in death on September 2, 2011. Terry had lived in Green Bay for 19 years before moving to Kokomo and then Tipton.

She had worked as a switchboard operator at Howard Community Hospital in Kokomo. Terry was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. She enjoyed reading, playing cards, fishing and listening to 104.5 WJJK. She also liked solving crossword puzzles, playing with her cats and watching Jeopardy!

Terry is survived by four children, Cynthia Stout, Tipton, Melinda Bruin and husband Gordon, Draper, Utah, Mike Stout, Louisville and Michelle Altherr and husband Pete, Tipton; 11 grandchildren, Rachael McShane and husband Sean, Jennifer Stout and fiancé Caleb, Jared Bruin and wife Nikki, Jessica Curtis and husband Jordan, Jenae Brannen and husband Logan, Jeff Bruin, Aeriel Jennings, Katrina Critser and husband Tim, Tabitha Altherr, Jasmine Bell and husband Emmanuel, Zackery Hattan, and 14 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son, Bruce Stout, and one brother, Benjamin Wozniak.

Visitation for Terry will be from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 Noon on Friday, June 21 at Young-Nichols Funeral Home with a graveside service to follow at St. John’s Cemetery with Rev. Dennis Goth presiding.

Memorial contributions in Terry’s honor may be made to the Building Fund at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 335 Mill Street, Tipton, Indiana, 46072.
