Todd A. Altherr

Todd A. AltherrTodd A. Altherr, 44 of Tipton died Monday, January 31, 2011 at St. Vincent Carmel Hospital.  He was born June 26, 1966 in Tipton to James V. and Peggy J. (Wood) Altherr.Todd worked at Steel Parts as an inspector and previously for Biddle's for 22 years.  He was a 1985 graduate of Tipton High School, enjoyed hunting, and riding motorcycles.  He loved watching high school sports, especially his children's activities.He is survived by his mother, Peggy Altherr, Tipton; three children, Elizabeth J. Altherr, Jessica S. Altherr, and James V. Altherr, all from Tipton; one brother, Craig Altherr, Nevada; one sister, Kim Altherr, Arcadia; ex-wife Tracy Altherr, Tipton; girl friend, Connie Payne, Sheridan and his dog Skip.  He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m., Friday, February 4, at Young-Nichols Funeral Home with Rev. Richard Sprague presiding.  Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 3:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial donations be made to the American Heart Association, 3816 Paysphere Circle, Chicago, Illinois, 60674 or the Humane Society of Tipton County, P.O.
