Wayne L. Walker

Wayne L. Walker, 64 of Tipton died on Wednesday, August 20, 2014 at his residence. He was born July 3, 1950 in Livingston, Tennessee to Estelene (Walker) Decker.

He retired from General Motors, Delphi in 2009. Wayne was a member of the U.A.W., Tipton Moose Lodge, and the American Legion. He loved to boat, fish, hunt, and to ride his motorcycle. Wayne was a graduate of Anderson High School, class of 1969. He served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam from 1970-1971.

He is survived by one son, Josh Walker and wife Jamie, Raeford, North Carolina; a daughter, Ashley Walker and husband Tyler Brunelle, Fort Lauderdale, Florida; a sister, Brenda Price, Indianapolis; a brother, Mike Small, Tipton; five grandchildren, Ella, Lila, Anna, Clara, and Bradley.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 23, at Young-Nichols Funeral Home. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery, Tipton with military honors. Visitation will be from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
