Zoe Ann Barr

October 28, 1925 — February 4, 2016

Zoe Ann Barr, 86 of Tipton died at 5:27 p.m. on Thursday, February 4, 2016 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born October 28, 1929 in Tipton to Irvin "Buck" & Ethel (Tudor) Myers. On November 7, 1948 she married Gerald Barr at the Hopewell Methodist Church. Gerald preceded her in death on June 20, 2013.

Zoe Ann was a homemaker. She was a member of Hopewell Methodist Church until it's closing, a member of Kemp United Methodist Church, and attended Beulah Land Church in Sharpsville. Zoe Ann was a member of the Eastern Star of Sharpsville #148 and Eastern Star of Cicero #541, a charter member of Rural Progress Home Economics Club. She graduated from Tipton High School in 1947. She was also a Den Mother for Cub Scouts, active in the County Home Extension Club, and past member of Tipton Lions Club.

Zoe Ann is survived by a son Ron Barr and wife Regina, Tipton; a daughter, Pam Tolle and husband Steve, Tipton; eight grandchildren, James Barr, Ryan Barr, Tina Rhodes, Barry Tolle, Tracy Bean, Matt Deckard, Deena Dodd, and Amy Vandergriff; 12 great-grandchildren Austin Barr, Kyle Williams, Kaitlyn Williams, Hailey Wolfe, Dustin Rhodes, Trout Rhodes, Mason Yeagley, Makenna Tolle, Madison Deckard, Delanie Deckard, Abriella Deckard, Courtney Everman, and one on the way; a great-great-grandson, Oliver Davis.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Elizabeth Paul and a brother, Phillip Myers.

Funeral services for Zoe Ann will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 9 at the Beulah Land Church, 6569 N 400 West, Sharpsville, Indiana, 46068 with Pastor Dan Coomer and Rev. Gary Eberhart presiding. Burial will follow in Normanda Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. Monday, and from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, all at the church. An Eastern Star service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Monday at the church.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Kemp United Methodist Church, 228 N. Main Street, Tipton, Indiana, 46072 or Beulah Land Church. Young-Nichols Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
