Betty Jane BrassingtonBetty Jane Brassington, 86 of Tipton died at 8:01 p.m. on Saturday, July 18, 2015 at Miller's Merry Manor in Tipton.  A life-long resident of Berrien Springs, Michigan, Betty had moved to Tipton only recently.  She was born August 3, 1928 in Big Rapids, Michigan to Ray & Anna (Kemstra) Brassington.Betty had worked as a school teacher in Buchannan, Michigan and was an accomplished genealogist.  She is survived by two sisters, Joyce Fitch, Berrien Springs and Esther Nelsen, Tipton and several nieces and nephews.  She will surely be missed by all of her family.A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday, August 9 at Vinewood Cemetery in Edmore, Michigan with burial to follow.  Young-Nichols Funeral Home, Tipton, is in charge of the arrangements.
