Carolyn Smith

Carolyn SmithCarolyn Smith, 67 of Tipton died Saturday, May 19, 2012 at her residence.  She was born in Celina, Tennessee on November 17, 1944 to Criel E. and Adelaide (Reagan) Dodson.  Carolyn married James R. Smith on September 3, 1967 and he survives.Carolyn retired from Delco Electronics in 2001 as an assembly technician.  She was a member of Oasis Community Church, Tipton.Survivors include her husband, James, one son, Donald "Donnie" Lee Reed (Margaret) of Frankfort and a daughter, Jamie Carol King (Ron) of Noblesville, one grandson, Chad A. Reed.  She has two sisters, Wanda Jean Carroll (Don) of Tipton and Hilda Dodson of Ohio.Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 23, at the Oasis Community Church in Tipton with Rev. Kim Drake presiding.  Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Tipton.  Visitation will be on Tuesday from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Young-Nichols Funeral Home and Wednesday from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. at the church.Memorial donations may be made to the "Missions Fund" c/o Oasis Community Church, 600 Fairgrounds Road, Tipton, IN 46072.
