Christopher Dale Robert ColterChristopher Dale Robert Colter, 25 of Tipton died Tuesday, February 17, 2015 in Bloomington.  He was born April 10, 1989 in Muncie to John D. & Theresa L. (Motter) Colter.  Chris was a part-time student studying health at Indiana University in Bloomington.He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, had attended St. John's School and was a 2007 graduate of Tipton High School.  Chris was a 10-Year member of 4-H and had been active in Boy Scouts.  He enjoyed playing youth sports.  Chris always had a positive attitude and was a fun loving man.  He enjoyed working with the elderly.Survivors include his father and step-mother, John & Elouise Colter, Tipton; two brothers, Tim Colter and Ben Colter, both at home; step-brother Phillip Perry at home and step-sister Kayla Perry of Cincinnati.  Chris is also survived by his grandparents, Patricia & Robert L. Colter, Gaston and Bonnie & Robert Motter, Elkhart; step-grandparents Joann & Robert Walker, Lima, Ohio; aunts Jeanette Colter, Fishers and Debra Kiser and husband Aaron, Royal Center.  Chris was preceded in death by his mother, Theresa.A funeral mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 21 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church with Rev. Dale Ehrman presiding.  The family will greet friends during a reception and luncheon following the mass at St. John's School.Young-Nichols Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.  Memorial contributions in Chris' memory may be made to the Encore Senior Center, 341 W. Jefferson Street, Tipton, Indiana, 46072.
