Martha Wilson BowersMartha Wilson Bowers, 90 of Tipton died at 9:55 a.m. on Thursday, June 26, 2014  at Millers Merry Manor in Tipton.  She was born on December 19, 1923 in Kokomo to Ronald and Mary (Latta) Jones.  Martha married Henry Wilson, he preceded her in death on March 2, 1986.  Later she married Loyd Bowers and he also preceded her in death on August 23, 2002.Martha had worked at FMC, John Bean as a bookkeeper.  She was a member of West Street Christian Church, a life member of Phi Beta Psi Thetha Delta Chapter of Tipton, the Republican women and had been a Weight Watchers instructor.She is survived by one daughter, Doris Wilson Loudermilk of Plainfield; a special niece, Darlene Tragesser of Atlanta; two grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren; two sisters, Mary Dill, Mitchell, Indiana, and Mahlon Durr, Kokomo; a brother-in-law, Gene Whisler, (Alberta) of Tipton.She was preceded in death by a sister, Donna Whisler.Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 30, at Young-Nichols Funeral Home with Rev. Linda Philabaun presiding and burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery.  Visitation will be Sunday from 2:00-4:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Phi Beta Psi conducting a memorial service  at 3:30 p.m.Memorial donations may be made to Phi Beta Psi for their Cancer Project c/o Young-Nichols Funeral Home, 216 West Jefferson Street, Tipton, Indiana,  46072.
