Allene E. Sagarsee, 86 of Tipton died at 2:42 p.m. on Saturday, September 29, 2012 at Kindred Transitional Care in Kokomo. She was born January 5, 1926 in Kokomo to Roy & Eleanor (Ellis) Shupperd.

Allene retired from Delco Electronics, Kokomo in 1985 after 31 years of service. She was a painter and had belonged to the Howard County Art Association. She was very excited when her painting of the Diana Theatre was chosen for a Christmas ornament commemorating Tipton County history. Allene loved to garden and tend to her flowers. She especially loved her grandchildren.

She is survived by two daughters, Victoria Sagarsee, South Carolina and Nicki Sagarsee-Smith, Peru; one son, Richard Sagarsee, Jr., Peru; one brother, Harold Shupperd, Burlington; one sister, Janie Shupperd Garmon, Tipton; several grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by one brother and three sisters.

Allene's funeral will be at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 3 at Young-Nichols Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Ward presiding. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Tipton. Visitation will be from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
