Jennifer L. Lamoreaux, 69 of Arcadia died at 2:30 a.m. on Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at her residence. She had previously lived in Windfall from 1994-2014 and Brandon, Florida from 1982-1994. Jenny was born in Tipton on December 4, 1946 to William D. & Phyllis E. (Hobbs) Mitchell. She married Lawrence Lamoreaux on October 19, 1980 and he preceded her in death in June 1993.

Jenny was a retired journalist. She was the former Editor of the Tipton Tribune and the Brandon (Florida) News. She had also worked as the Hillsborough County 911 spokesperson and worked at the Environmental Protection Commission in Florida. Jenny was a dog breeder and competed with her dogs in many shows. She was a member of the Hoosier Press Association and was a 1964 graduate of Windfall High School.

Survivors include two sons, Ross Lamoreaux and wife Amber, Spring Hill, Florida and Denton Lamoreaux and wife Katherine, Arcadia; one step-son, Roy Lamoreaux, Houghton Lake, Michigan; her siblings Annette Wyandotte, New Albany, Indiana, Jill Loveless and husband Rodney, Sacramento, California, Philip Mitchell and wife Cheryl, Sharpsville, Leanna Jessup and husband Garry, Sheridan and Cathy Carter, New Albany, Indiana.

She is also survived by four grandchildren, Joseph Lamoreaux, Emilia Lamoreaux, Sophia Lamoreaux and Elaina Lamoreaux ; and step grand-daughter Abigail McCarthy. She was preceded in death by one grandson, William Lamoreaux.

Funeral services for Jenny will be at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, October 22 at Young-Nichols Funeral Home with Pastor Bill Salsbery presiding. Burial will follow in Brookside Cemetery, Windfall. Visitation will be Saturday from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 Noon.

Memorial contributions in Jennifer’s honor may be made to the Tipton County Humane Society, P.O. Box 237, Tipton, Indiana, 46072.
