Martha S. (Darrow) Clouser, 78 of Bradenton, Florida died on Tuesday, August 7, 2018 in Bradenton.  Martha was born on March 17, 1940 in Elwood to Waldo & Mildred (Grose) Darrow.

She was a Registered Nurse working for Home Instead, educating caregivers to provide healthcare to home residents.  She is a member of the Kirkwood Presbyterian Church in Bradenton, Florida and a former member of East Main Street Christian Church in Elwood.  Martha graduated from Mankato State University in Minnesota and later graduated from IU Kokomo with her nursing degree.

Martha is survived by two sons, Brad Clouser, Tipton and Paul Clouser and wife Mary, Delphi, Indiana; two sisters, Andrea Farquharson, Kansas City, Missouri and Marilyn Fettig, Elwood; grandchildren Andy Clouser, Anglea Carter, Ashlee Buford, Joseph Clouser and Jacob Clouser and great grandchildren Crystin, Kendall, Valerie, Katelyn and Audrey.

A memorial service with Rev. Roger Gardner presiding will be held Friday, August 17, at 2:00 p.m. at Young-Nichols Funeral Home in Tipton.  The family will receive friends Friday at the funeral home from noon until service time.  Burial will follow at Elwood City Cemetery.

    Remembering Martha. Eons ago It was fun to gather for the James reunion which included so many cousins from that part of our family tree. (Pearl James Grose was Mildred Darrow’s mother and a sister to my grandfather Walter James.)

  6. My thoughts and prayers are with you.. Martha was a wonderful next door neighbor for 14 years. She enjoyed riding her bike, exercising in the pool and sewing. I will truly miss her.
