It has been a privilege to know Mary Ellen these past few years. She always enjoyed learning new things and was very thoughtful of others and eager to share memories, cooking ideas, and news of you – her family. She loved you all. I will miss her smile, laughter and good attitude in all situations. The world could use more people like her, especially in these times. Sending my sympathy to you all,

I have only known Mary Ellen a few months. Before the Covid struck I used to visit my husband daily at Miller’s and we always sat at Mary Ellen’s table when I stayed for meals. We also are members at Normanda Christian Church but we started there after Mary Ellen moved to Miller’s. She was always on our prayer list and so I prayed for her frequently. It was such a pleasant surprise to finally meet this dear, sweet lady. She had such a giving spirit and a fine sense of humor. She will definitely be missed. I pray for all of you that you will be comforted knowing she is whole and with her Heavenly Father. Hugs.

  3. I met Mary Ellen a little over 3 years ago. She was always kind and loved to talk. My thoughts and prayers are with the family.

I’ve known Mary Ellen since I was a kid. When she lived out at Normanda with her mother I went with my mother to her house for a jewelry party. I don’t remember the name of the jewelry but I do remember a “jewelry” piece that Mary Ellen went to her bedroom and bought out for all of us to see. It was a tiny diaper hanging on a pin that was given to her when she was born. She was proud to say that she was a “Doc Cotton” baby. Doc Cotton was the beloved doctor that had his practice in Goldsmith, where Mary Ellen was born.

  5. Mary Ellen was a wonderful lady who loved the Lord and people. I met her when my mom started attending a Bible Study which she hosted. She and my mom became dear friends. Now they’re reunited in Heaven. ❤️
