Sundays during football season meant being at the television to see how the game would turn out. Mike also was enthralled with the NASCAR race circuit, cheering on the drivers.

Survivors include his sister Sherri Dick (Stevie) and family, a daughter April Alivar (Joe) a granddaughter Kelsly Alivar and nephews Tyler Mendyke and Alex Dick. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Ken Hendricks and a son Travis McNew.

  2. My thoughts and prayers go out to Mike’s family and friends. My brother Bruce Parton use to run around with him in our high school days.

    1. Mike, Bruce, Sean Brannum and I ran off to Florida together one summer. Hitching hiking down the interstate some time in the 70s

To Mike’s family, John and I are praying for comfort during this time of loss. Mike was such a big personality and will be missed terribly. His laugh was contagious and when he smiled you never knew what he was up to or what was coming next. He is truly Gone Too Soon. John and Cathy Beaty

  4. Everyone,

I’m so sorry to hear of Mikes passing. I knew Mike for close to 30 years. Him and I had a special bond. His son Travis was my best friend from kindergarten until his tragic passing. Travis and I were roommates at the time of his passing. Mike treated me like his own son. ❤️
