My condolences for your loss. I had the privilege of getting to know Sarah at IWU while teaching there. She was wonderful to work with and much appreciated.

Don, you are in my thoughts and prayers. Sarah and I were childhood classmates, in Brownies together, our mothers were leaders together. In high school, we had classes together and we always chatted we ever we saw one another. Sarah was my best resource when it came to researching topics for my boys at Tipton Library. Later when she went to IWU she became our “GO TO GAL” when I returned for my Masters. I know the Indianapolis campus kept her quite busy during that time because I spread the news that Sarah was the BEST researcher and would provide the BEST service ever!

Don, thank you for loving Sarah. I know you made her life so full. She was so happy with you and shared that with me the last time we spoke. Wish I could have been there to tell you in person yesterday….but know you are in my thoughts and prayers today.
    Fondly remembered…. Diana Shupperd Hunter

Don, My mother wanted me to convey her deepest sympathies for the loss of Sarah.. I also want to add my sincerest condolences. Sarah was not only family, she was a good friend. She will be greatly missed by many. Take care, Christy McDole

  6. Sarah for all her years at IWu was just on the other side of the wall from me. Several times a day I would pass by her cubie and we would engage in conversation. Generally, it was work-related, but it often evolved to personal matters. Sarah and I shared a lot and we knew each other pretty well. She always had my back if my family situation did not allow me to teach a class or attend a meeting. She would always step up and do what was needed. Thankfully after retirement for me and later for her, we still kept in touch. Having moved to Georgia has prevented our face-to-face meetings, but I am thankful for the short time I spent with both of you in May at your home. I always loved her emails and texts as they really said something. There are so many wonderful memories that I will cherish. Don, I know the days will be hard without Sarah, but God is with you and He can carry you through these dark days! Know that Kerry and I are praying for you.

    1. Thank You so much. Your friendship meant so much to Sarah. I am so glad for your last phone call. Please keep me in your prayers. This is so hard. The last 18 months brought so much closer together. Sarah was my world. Please continue to pray for me
