Barbara Lois Reynolds, 74 of Tipton died Friday morning, September 1, 2023 at home. She was born on September 15, 1948 in Flat Rock, Illinois to Jack McClure & Winifred (Catt) McClure Waggner. On March 1, 1969 she married Ronald G. Reynolds and he survives. The couple was blessed with 54 years of marriage.

Barbara graduated from Calumet (Indiana) High School, class of 1966. She was a manager/cook at Pizza Hut and also worked at Alco in Tipton. She attended barber school in Gary and then worked as a barber after she became licensed. Barbara cherished the strong friendships she made throughout the years she worked in Tipton. She loved playing Bingo and going to the casinos. Barbara and Ronald both have a special bond with their grandson and loved the time they got to spend together.

She is survived by her husband, Ronald; a son, Michael E. Reynolds and wife Desiree of Walton, Indiana; three sisters, Gaythal Wesley and husband Richard of Flat Rock, Kathy Dusseau of Crown Point, Indiana, Melinda Knowellenberg and husband Jim of Robinson, Illinois and a grandson, Wyatt Reynolds. Barbara was preceded in death by a son, Ron Reynolds, Jr.

It was Barb’s desire to not have any funeral service and her family is honoring her wishes. Young-Nichols Funeral Home is assisting the family with Barbara’s arrangements.
