Charles “Chuck” “Red” Stacy
Charles E. “Chuck” “Red” Stacy, 78 a life-long resident of Tipton, passed away at home on Wednesday, December 22, 2021. He was born in Leesville, Louisiana on April 30, 1943 to George Stacy and Maddie (Johnson) Stacy Head. He married Linda (Edwards) Roadruck on August 5, 1977 and they were married for 44 years.
Chuck retired from Miller’s Merry Manor in Tipton, where he was a maintenance supervisor. He also worked at Red Gold, Carnation, and several other places throughout the years. Chuck was a member of First Baptist Church in Tipton. He was an avid golfer, hunter, and loved sports; especially Notre Dame Football. Chuck loved to play bingo and had a nickname for everyone. He served in the U. S. Marine Corps in Vietnam.
He is survived by his wife Linda; five children, Teresa Strong and husband Michael of Tennessee, Diana Black and husband Randy of Arkansas, Michael Stacy of Indiana, Mary Heffelmire and husband Ted of Tipton, Tammy Stacy and husband Carson, Arcadia; siblings, George Stacey and wife Sally, Susie Stephens, Jeanie Anderson, Tom Stacey and wife Charlyn, Brenda Maish, Pam Johns, Barb Howard and husband Jeff, Steve Head and wife Susie.
Chuck is also survived by nine grandchildren, Shayla Black, Callie Heffelmire, Kyle Heffelmire, Cody Stacy, Matthew Stacy, Colton Mitchell, Bethany Kepley, Nathan Stacy, and Alisha DeLong; six great-grandchildren including his special buddy Zane; along with his little dog, Maggie and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, a step-father, Ray Head; mother-in-law, Katherine Edwards; brothers, Miles Stacey and his wife Brenda and Mark Head.
Funeral services for Chuck will be at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 26 at Young-Nichols Funeral Home with Pastor Randy Carlisle presiding. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery with military honors. Visitation will be from 12:00 noon until the service time on Sunday.
