Chuck Good, 53 of Tipton, and formerly of Hobbs, died at 1:09 p.m. on Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at IU Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.  He was born in Tipton on June 23, 1964 to Charles “Charlie” Good and Margaret “Margie” (Anderson) Good.

Chuck was a Superintendent for E & B Paving.  He was a graduate of Tipton High School in the Class of 1982 and he loved Tipton High School sports, especially basketball and football and was a NASCAR fan.  Chuck was a member of the Kempton Basketball Association.  He never met a stranger and always put others first, helping them in any way he could.  He loved his son Blake.

Chuck is survived by his mother Margie Good, Tipton; one son, Blake Good of Greentown and his girlfriend Desirae Fitzgerald; three sisters, Kathy Mitchell and husband Jeff, Marla Good and Melissa Henderson and husband Jason, all of Tipton; the mother of his son, Kim Pollard, Greentown; his right-hand man, Kevin “Garth” Garst; sister-in-law Jen Riggs and her husband Randy; brother-in-law Troy Zerbe and his wife Rhonda; nieces & nephews, Mandy and her husband Phil, Cylie, Cole, Mason, Layton, Luke, Jessi, Tyler, Brooke and Alexis; great-nieces & nephews, Mackenzie, Macey, Kole, Lia, Lilly and Ava..  He was preceded in death by his father.

Funeral services for Chuck will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, April 16 at Young-Nichols Funeral Home with Rev. Dennis Goth presiding and burial to follow in St. John’s Cemetery, Tipton.  Visitation will be from 2:00 – 6:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions in Chuck’s memory may be made to Tipton High School Athletics, 619 S. Main Street, Tipton, Indiana, 46072 or the Tipton County Humane Society, P.O. Box 237, Tipton, Indiana, 46072.

  1. Chuck was a good guy. He was like a son to my dad, Bob Moore. He was like a brother to Mike. Chuck was like family. It is a great loss. He knew me as “Skeet’s” sister. I knew him as a kind and caring friend to my family. I am so sorry for your loss.

  2. I’m so sorry for your families loss, Chuck was a great guy and I was looking forward to him being our neighbor again. May you all find peace and comfort in your days ahead reflecting on all the good memories you shared. My thoughts and prayers also go out to Chucks coworkers.

    I was sad to hear of Chucks passing. He and I are cousins My dad Benjamin Franklin Good and He Dad Uncle charlie were brothers, I had not seen Chuck since we were both children. As I grew up in Calif. Only going to Tipton in the Summer time. when we would get and the car and take a road trip. I wish I could have known him better.
