Gregory W. “Bomar” Dick, 56 of Tipton died on Sunday, November 24, 2019 at 5:38 a.m. at his residence. He was born on August 13, 1963 in Tipton to Carl Howard & Caron Sue (Womack) Dick.

Bomar worked construction all his life, before retiring in 2013. He was a member of Trinity Wesleyan Church in Tipton. He enjoyed fishing, grilling, and boating. Bomar was also a member of the Tipton Moose Lodge # 1590.

He is survived by his parents, Carl and Caron; six children, Kerastin Dick, Indianapolis, Trevor Dick and wife Athena, Windfall, Damien Dick and wife Bailey, Knoxville, Tennessee, Darian Dick, New Castle, Brittany Demitt and husband David, Fishers, Tara Neal and husband Tyson, Kokomo; along with 10 grandchildren,

Bomar is also survived by eight siblings, Carl Dick Jr., and wife Michelle, Sheridan, Stevie Dick and wife Sherri, Tipton, Rena Phifer and husband Joe, Paoli, Indiana, Lynn Dick, Tipton, Sheila Martin and husband Randy. Elwood, Connie McLearran and husband Dan, Tipton, Angie Dick, Tipton and Jake Dick, Tipton.

Bomar’s funeral will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, November 29 at Young-Nichols Funeral Home with burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery, Tipton. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Friday.

Memorial donations may be made to American Heart Association, 3816 Paysphere Circle, Chicago, Illinois 60674.

  1. Bomar you was a good man. Thanks for the road trip to Indy last month I enjoyed it . I’m glad we both got some I love you’s in there when we was on the phone or visiting. Please help watch over the kids for me give them lots of strength now that your gone they will need it. We all Love ❤️ you and you will be missed very much.

    Sorry for your loss. I don’t remember Greg, We used to go to Uncle Carls, and he had children, but I can not remember all their names.
    Makes me sad I don’t know my family in Indiana well.
    Tell Uncle Carl and Aunt Caren I love them.

  5. Bomar, We started as childhood friends and became brothers. We shared the laughs, the tears, and God knows we shared the beers. Wish I had the words to adequately describe what it has meant to me to have been part of your life. Thank you for all the love and blessings. You will be missed but never forgotten. My love and prayers to the family and the extended family.
