  1. In loving memory of Janet Stacy. She was a wonderful wife to our Uncle Marcus, a very kind person and always so thoughtful in her quiet gental way. A wonderful cook and I loved listening to her stories and love of lighthouses. In her earlier years, she took trips to see lighthouses throughout the Country and it was always fun to stay in the lighthouse guest room. . Janet was always the first one at Larry and Ellarie’s house to greet us when we arrived from out of town. Janet will be missed by many. Sending our condolences and prayers to all the family .

Janet was a vital member of our Harmony Magic Chorus. She will always be a sister in song, and her voice, smile and quiet calm will be missed.

  3. We will miss Janet in the percussion section of the Tipton Community Band. We enjoyed getting to know her at the Tipton Dairy Queen after rehearsals. Though a kind of quiet lady, she was very interesting to talk to, and she loved music and the camaraderie in the band.

  4. Cara Kellerman, Encore Center staff member

Janet really enjoyed the Encore Center in Tipton. One of my favorite memories of Janet was when she planned one of our day Excursions. She organized a trip to Falls Creek Park in Pendleton and we all had a wonderful time. She will be missed at the Encore Center. Our hearts go out to her family. She was such a sweet lady.

Janet was a beautiful person. I had only known her just a short while. Her infectious smile and kind spirit were just a couple of the things that always stood out. I know your memories of her will help you to make it through the loss of this wonderful lady. My sympathy to all of the family.

Janet became aware of the Stitchin’, Knittin’, and Knottin’ group at West Street Christian Church when she passed by our door as she practiced with Harmony Magic who practiced in our social rooms. We greeted her with open arms. She always had a project she was working on; plastic canvas calendars were the last project I remember. Maybe some on you were the recipients of her crafts. Janet would always leave our group about 11:10 a.m. and head over to the Encore Center to socialize and have lunch. After I had met Janet, I began to see her in all sorts of places: the library, the National Day of Prayer, getting food for others at the Food Finders distributions, participating in various activities in Tipton. We will miss her quiet spirit at Stitichin’, Knittin’, and Knottin’.

I’ve only known Janet for a few short years, after I started going to the Encore Senior Center, when it was formerly located in the C.W. Mount Building. I also was around her on Tuesday evenings for supper, when a group of us would gather at Jim Dandy on Tuesday evenings for senior night (discount on meals). She even attended my mother’s visitation at Young-Nichols back in April 2018. She always told me that if I ever needed anything, not to hesitate in calling her. She truly cared about people and was willing to help in any way that she could. I will miss seeing her at the Encore Senior Center and on Tuesday evenings for supper. The last time that we were all together, was on Tuesday, June 15th, which ironically, was her 78th birthday. And, none of us even knew. R.I.P. Janet. You will be dearly missed.

  8. I am so sorry to hear of Janet’s passing. She was a very sweet lady. I enjoyed her cooking & welcoming friendship as Marc would teach me how to use my first computer. Janet made you feel like family & she will be missed by many. With such wonderful memories, she won’t be forgotten.
