  1. My heart goes out to the friends & family. I am so sorry for this loss. Ellie you are not alone. Your momma loved you & will she will never leave you. Just close your eyes & she’ll be there. My deepest sympathies to you all, during this difficult time.

  2. Katie was one in a million! She was magnetic and beautiful! A light in this world and she will be greatly missed. Fly high, ladybug!

  3. Katie was one of my nearest and dearest friends when we both became young mothers. I remember laying out while our girls played together and laughed in the sprinkler. She was my shoulder to cry on, my adventurer, and sometimes my partner in crime. Life takes us all places we never planned and I’m saddened to say that we hadn’t seen each other in years. My heart goes out to all of you, I can’t imagine the pain and grief and frustration that you’re feeling. My prayers and love are being sent your way.

  4. You all are in my thoughts and prayers! I will never forget Katie! I’ve been involved in coaching for more than 25 years and have coached more than a hundred young ladies and will always remember Katie and not for basketball reasons but for her 1,000 watt smile, fun & joyful personality. She made me smile and/or laugh nearly every day. She made my first season coaching 6th-grade basketball a wonderful experience! And whenever I would run into her through the years, I was always treated to that big, beautiful smile!! God Bless her soul and her family and friends!

  6. My deepest sympathy and prayers for all the family. I got to know Katie when she lived across the alley from me. She was a great neighbor.

  7. I am so sad to hear of Katie’s passing. She had such a beautiful smile that would light up a room.. Katie was so full of love for all her friends in High School and had time for everyone making them smile when someone was having a rough day. I can still see her smile as she walked to classes often passing my Athletic Office wave and say
Hello Tammy “I mean Mrs. Sullivan”. I wish so many of the class of 2001 had kept that closeness they had from 6th grade through. 12th.
Katie will always be in your heart. I wish I could take the pain away from all of you. Just keep Faith Katie is a bright Star at night. The warm breeze on a summer night. The warm feeling in your heart when you are feeling blue. God Bless
