  38. When I Think of Kevin, I think of one of the kindest and most humble men I have ever met. Our family has known him for years. My father, James Luster, worked with him on occasion for a few years, I also played the organ for him for many funerals. When the time came for the final services for my husband, and both parents, I don’t know how I could have ever gotten through it without His help. My love and prayers go out to all of his family. Heaven May be brighter now, but this world lost a beautiful light when he left this world. And I am proud to say that I knew Kevin Porter! He definetly was a man among men! God bless you all….

  39. To the family of Mr. Porter:

He went about doing good, as Christ did.
His struggles have ended. He will be just fine. Matters left behind will get taken care of, thanks in great measure to outstanding persons like those caring for your family at Young-Nichols…
My sincere wish is that God will sustain and comfort you as only He can.

  41. Cindy Brinson

My heartfelt sympathy to Pam and the entire Porter family. I had the privilege of meeting Kevin and Pam at Lifetime Fitness when I moved to the Tipton area several years ago. Kevin always had a smile on his face and was one of the kindest people I have met in Tipton. He was so excited when his granddaughter Milly was born. He was always showing pictures of her to everyone at the gym. He was so proud of her. I would see Kevin and Pam riding their bikes through town with Milly on the back of the bike. It always made me smile. Kevin will be deeply missed by all who knew him. RIP Kevin. Pam, please know that you and your family are in my constant thoughts and prayers. Would love to be able to give you a big hug right now.

  42. I am so sorry for your loss, Kevin was a friend to many people. He’s always been there for our family and for many others. It’s nice to live in a community where people step up to help others in their time of need. Prayers to everyone!

  43. Janis Thornton

I didn’t know Kevin well, but he always smiled and spoke when we saw each other around town, and it seemed that were friends. When my dad was nearing the end of his life, he asked me to call Kevin and have him come to the hospital to meet with us to make funeral arrangements. It seemed awkward to me, but Kevin was good-natured about it and made the meeting seem natural and sort of fun. He was a comfort when my father died a few weeks later and helped me tie up the loose ends in the days and weeks after. I never forgot his kindness. I want to extend my deep sympathy to the family for their loss. I will miss him.

  44. I have known Kevin for many years and always held him in high regards. He was a compassionate, competent EMT who respected the whole person. Kevin handled the funerals for both of my parents with dignity and grace showing our family loving compassion. I want Anna Mae, Pam, Matt and Katrina to know how very sad I am for their loss.
You are all in my thoughts and prayers as you live through this painful time. May God give you His peace that passes understanding. Know that so many people loved and respected Kevin Porter….and will remember him kindly.

    Most sincerely.

  45. Prayers to all….may your hearts be filled with wonderful memories of Kevin and that you feel the love and support from so many.

  46. Bill & Marilyn Sherwood

A kinder, more gentle or caring man would be impossible to find. He always showed the utmost sympathy to us as he handled arrangements for several of our family members. He assisted us and encouraged us through the steps of the service and burials. We will always remember for his kindness. Please accept our deepest sympathies for the loss of your loved one.

  47. Dee Baker-Poling

Annie, Jay, Kim, Jack, Pam and all of the Porter family. I’m heart broken for all of you on the loss of Kevin. Growing up he was my protector from the current bulldog of the house. He made me laugh until my sides hurt. We had fun together as children when the Bakers Porters and Scharff’s would get together for cookouts in the summer when we would play together outside into the night. As adults we didn’t stay as connected but when we saw each other it was like time hadn’t passed. I will miss Kevin as will do many. He was kind to a fault and made a difference in this world and I am proud he is my cousin. I love you all.

  48. Kevin was a great help to me and my family in our time of grief, he was a great friend. He will be missed. From Oneil Hopkins and family
