Konner J. Kakasuleff, 20 of Windfall died at 9:10 p.m. on Monday, October 30, 2017.  He was born in Kokomo on December 3, 1996 to Korine Nichole (Kakasuleff) Abernathy and Joshua Thomas Herron.

Konner was a full time student at IU Kokomo in his junior year where he worked in the athletic facility.  He was on the Dean’s list Honor Society member at IUK and had held an office with ENACTUS.  He was also an intern at the Howard County Assessor’s Office and had worked at The Men’s Warehouse.

Graduating from Tri-Central Summa Cum Laude with an honors diploma in 2015, Konner was active in soccer, basketball, and track and belonged to the Academic Honor Society and the SADD organization.

Konner enjoyed spending time with family and friends.  He was gifted musically, playing the guitar, drums, and keyboard.  He also loved all types of sports and was an artist focusing on drawing, painting and charcoal.  Konner was a member of Heartland Church.

Survivors include his mother Korine of Kokomo, father and step mother Joshua and Tracey Ann Herron of Tipton, maternal grandparents, Bridget and Dennis Perkins of Windfall and Kenneth Kakasuleff of Cicero, paternal grandparents, Janice and John Retz of Windfall and step-grandparents Connie and Tony Gipson of Kempton and a great-grandfather, Richard Hagen of Kokomo.  Siblings include Riley Thomas Herron, Levi Michael Abernathy, Kaela Nichole Kathleen Abernathy and Gabrielle Annalee Herron.

Funeral services for Konner will be at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 4, at Heartland Church, Sharpsville with Dr. William Salsbery and Pastor Romon Rodrick Oglesby presiding.  Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church. Young-Nichols Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
