Lin Rikard, 70 of Kokomo passed away on Friday March 10, 2023 at Community Howard Regional Health in Kokomo. She was born in Topeka, Kansas on July 24, 1952.

Lin graduated from Tipton High School in 1970 where she played on the first volleyball team. She also loved choir and parliamentary procedure competitions. Lin went on to graduate from beauty school. She worked for 25 years for the US Postal Service both in Tipton and Kokomo.

During her postal career, she participated in several parades, food drives and also received a heroism award for helping during a house fire.

She loved gardening and flowers and had belonged to a gardening club. She got great joy in raising Pomeranians but what was most important to Lin was her family.

Lin was preceded in death by her parents, Peter T. & Naomi (Wolverton) Robinson.

Survivors include her three children, Taralee Howell (Brian) of Rochester, Nicci Lybrook (Shane) of Galveston and Shauna Willis (Joe) of Lafayette; one sister, Nina Balser (David) of Richmond. She also has nine grandchildren, Sean, Audrey (Mark), Derek, Dylan (Emily), Jenna (Orion), Carson, Carly, Hailey and Harper and three great-grandchildren, Scout, Seager and Dianna.

Following Lin’s wishes the family will have a private funeral service at a later date with burial in Fairview Cemetery, Tipton. Young-Nichols Funeral Home is assisting the Rikard family with Lin’s services.

Memorial contributions in honor of Lin may be made to Fulton County H.O.P.E., PO Box 735, Rochester, Indiana, 46975.

    Lin was good friends with Bill since school days in the 60’s in Tipton. And such a dear, sweet friend to me for the last 21 years~we will miss her so much! Glory to GOD she’s no longer in pain 🙏RIH dear friend ❤️
