Mike was a member of the International Barbershop Harmony Society for 28 years.  He loved and lived for music being second only to God’s greatest gift.

Michael loved trees – he would call them “God’s natural Cathedrals”.  He loved his Purdue Boilermaker football and basketball teams.  He was integral in maintaining a tightly knit association with his classmates/gang for 50 years.  He had a remarkable memory, remembering old and new friends; some say he never met a stranger.

Your carring prescence will be so missed in our lives. Thank you for thinking I am litereate (LOL-there is a story there) Everytime I see Charge of the Light Birgade, or anything by Tennyson I will contiue to think about you.

Half a legue, half a legue, half a legue onward, all in the valley of death rode the six hundred. “Forward, the Light Brigade!”

    Love,

    Megan

  2. Mike, we were friends for many years. I’ll never forget some of our antics in high school. You taking me to a Job’s daughter dance, and driving up together for our 45th class reunion. We had lots of good times through the years. You were a special friend and will be missed. Deedee

Mike, you taught me a lesson I’ve never forgotten: always visit loved ones in the hospital. Thank you for that; I think we had more in common than we knew. Blessed be.
