Michael W. Heath, 67 of Tipton died on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 in Clarksville, Indiana. He had previously lived in the Nashville, Tennessee area for 30 years. He was born in Tipton on May 28, 1953 to Boyd A. & Rita M. (Jones) Heath.

Michael was a professional painter and musician. He was a member of the West Street Christian Church in Tipton and was a graduate of Tipton High School with the Class of 1971. Michael loved cheering for the Chicago Cubs, but music was his real passion. He played the guitar and drums and composed and performed his own music.

Michael is survived by one brother, Jeffrey A. Heath, Kokomo, and one sister, Lisa S. (Heath) Arnold (Ed Tragesser) of Tipton. He also has two granddaughters, Ashley Heath and Brittany Heath; one great-granddaughter, Paisleigh and two nieces, Jill Yohe and Cara Powell. He was preceded in death by a son, Scott M. Heath.

No funeral services are planned. Young-Nichols Funeral Home is assisting the Heath family with Michael’s arrangements.

Memorial donations in Michael’s honor may be made to the Boys & Girls Club of Tipton County, 341 W. Jefferson Street, Tipton, Indiana, 46072.

    So sad to hear this. I’ve known Mike and his family since we were young kids. My family often visited Mike’s family on Sunday’s. Many prayers to his family.

  5. Mike was my AA sponsor for 28 years. He helped countless people stay sober in the Nashville area. He will live on in my heart until I join him someday.
    He saved my life and was my best friend for many years.
