Tom was a long time neighbor and my barber. We were also glad for him to be in our church family at Bethel Tabernacle. He had served on the Nevada Cemetery Board with me as as well. I am sure he is not only missed by his family and myself, but by the many people who knew him. Jeff and Jacob have my condolences. AND I hope to see Tom in that great and glorious city on High.

I had the pleasure of knowing Tom since he started barbering in the shop next to J C Penny in the Kokomo Mall. I impulsively let my hair grow for seven years in the start of the seventies and resumed a civilized look in late 1977 and quickly found where Tom was then barbering and got reacquainted. I have been seeing Tom for a trim and the “latest” ever since. A visit with Tom was a welcome respite from everyday life for such a long time. I know I’m not the only one of his barbering friends who will miss him greatly. I believe my last haircut was about the first of October this year just before taking a short trip . I had been hoping and praying that he would recover and have been hand trimming the overgrowth around my ears for about a month or so now but the loss is knowing that Tom isn’t around anymore to brighten my day and and also trim down the cowlick and lighten my aging load in more ways than one. I pray he’s in a much better place now.
