Ronald L. “RL” Jordan
Ronald L. “RL” Jordan, 88 of Tipton died at 12:30 a.m. on Sunday, December 5, 2021 at Miller’s Merry Manor in Tipton. RL was born on June 3, 1933 in Tipton County to Hugh B. & Kathleen (Rupe) Jordan.
He was a school bus driver for over 40 years for Tipton Community Schools and had also run Hobbs Feed & Grain. RL was a graduate of Walnut Grove High School in the Class of 1951. He served in the U.S. Air Force.
Survivors include one daughter, Nancy Hershberger and one son, David Jordan and one grandson, Samuel Jordan Hershberger. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Melody Lynn Jordan and two brothers, Leon and Bill Jordan.
RL had requested no funeral services. He was buried at Aroma Cemetery with his family. Young-Nichols Funeral Home assisted with RL’s arrangements.

I’m sorry to learn of your loss.. I knew Ronnie and family from mid 1930’s. I remember Leon having kidney disease. His father, Hugh, was a cousin to Candace Hawkins who raised me.
A Good Man if you were lucky to know him. He had his ups and downs but I enjoyed being around Ronald Lee.
Sorry for your loss. I met RL thru my grandpa Jean Barnes when I was just a kid. I believe RL drove bus #19 and my grandpa Jean drove #18 for THS. And I interviewed him for a report I wrote in ag class in 8th grade while he was running the grain elevator. That dude was one of a kind…
