Dustin Dowell

 -

Dustin Dowell, 36 of Kokomo died on Monday, September 11, 2023 at home doing what he loved. He was born in Indianapolis on June 7, 1987 to Bradley R. and Cindy (Stephens) Dowell. On January 8, 2010 he married Codie Pritchard and she survives.

Dustin was a “hands on” type of guy. He was a diesel mechanic and loved spending hours in the garage working on his monster truck. Family was also extremely important to Dustin and he treasured the time he got to spend with them. Codie and Dustin enjoyed traveling together and spending time on the water boating. He was his wife’s biggest supporter and was very proud of her accomplishments in her nursing endeavors.

Dustin is survived by his wife of 13 years, Codie; his parents Brad and Cindy Dowell, sister, Kristina Carmichael and husband Ned of Windfall; grandparents, Tom and Phillis Wood of Sun City, Florida, Jim and Cathy Stevens of Windfall; sister-in-law, Janice Pritchard and her three children in Southern Indiana. He was preceded in death by his in-laws, Jay and Cindy Pritchard; a grandpa, Dave R. Dowell; and an uncle, Tony Stephens.

A private family service honoring Dustin will be held at a later date. Young-Nichols Funeral Home is assisting the family with Dustin’s arrangements. Condolences may be left at www.young-nichols.com.
