David Eugene Williams, 79 of Tipton passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 10, 2023 at his daughter’s residence in Fishers with his family by his side. David was born in Lebanon, Indiana on November 7, 1943 to Merle & Dorothy (Grater) Williams. On August 8, 1988 he married Kathy Ziegler and she survives. The couple enjoyed 35 years of marriage together.

Besides living in Tipton, David had also lived in Thorntown, Lebanon, Kokomo, and in Illinois. David enjoyed working with his hands and loved to farm. He worked several years for Dickover Farms and Sloan Farms. David also had previously worked at Rohn in Frankfort and Tipton Railroad. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church and the Hobbs Coffee Club. The coffee club was a good fit for David as it gave him a chance to spend time talking and sharing stories with his friends.

He is survived by his wife, Kathy; a daughter, Stesha Redmond and husband Logan of Fishers; siblings, Angie Garmon and husband Ken of Tipton, George Williams and wife Donna of Lafayette. David is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews. David was preceded in death by two siblings, Sue England and Billy Williams.

David’s funeral mass will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 19 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church with Rev. Dennis Goth presiding. Burial will follow in St. John’s Cemetery. Visitation will also be at the church from 10:00 a.m. until funeral time on Saturday.
