Kim Eugene Owen, 67 of Tipton passed away at home on Friday, August 11, 2023. Kim was born on September 21, 1955 in Noblesville and he had previously lived in Windfall, Arcadia and Germany.

Kim was a graduate of Hamilton Heights High School in the Class of 1974. After high school he joined the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany. Coming back into civilian life he was trained as a plumber and spent many years working for BRS Mechanical, Hunter Plumbing and Crail Plumbing. Kim loved kayaking and canoeing as well as being outside shooting his guns.

He is survived by four children, Sheri Owen and Steve Owen in Germany, Ryan Buster and Cory Buster and wife Brandi. He is also survived by his siblings Brenda McDowell and husband Butch, Ohio, Dee Ann Pore, Florida, Rick Whitesell and wife Marci, Tipton, Dale Graves and wife Kathy, Tipton, Joni Ellis and husband Mark of Tipton, Chris Taylor and husband Frank, Ohio, and Mary Wood of Ohio. He also has a brother-in-law, Jeff Young and many aunts and uncles.

Kim has three grandchildren, Gracie Buster, Jonathon Buster and Autumn Buster; one great-grandchild, Oaklynn Montgomery. He was preceded in death by his mother, Betty Wood Summers; one nephew, Chad Whitesell and one niece, Carly Braun.
