Sandra D. Burns
Sandra D. Burns, 61 of Beech Grove died Tuesday, June 6, 2023 at St. Francis Hospital in Indianapolis. She was born in Martinsville on December 19, 1961 to William and Lois (Whittington) Lambert. She met Phillip Burns and they were married in 1994.
Sandra was a housewife, enjoying all the facets of managing the home and family. She graduated from Martinsville High School. Sandra was an accomplished seamstress and cherished her time creating cross stitch items.
Survivors include her husband Phillip Burns, daughters Heather Davidson and husband Anthony of Indianapolis, Stefanie Stout of Seymour, Indiana, and Amanda Conners and husband Daniel of Indianapolis. Sandra’s siblings include Debbie Lambert, Kim Dicus, Lisa Lambert and Mike Arnold and wife Monique. Her five grandchildren, Lucas Stout, Xaunder Jones, Adyn Davidson, Charleigh Stout and Malakai Kramer kept her busy.
Funeral services will be on Monday, June 12 at 11:00 A.M. at Young-Nichols Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday from 2:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.m. at the funeral home.

You were family to me. Not just a friend. My secret keeper. The one who knew me better than anybody. I will miss our almost daily chats. You were a phenomenal friend to me. You kept my head above water when I felt like I was drowning. I don’t know what I’m going to do without you. I miss you already and love you forever.
